Interfolio's Dossier service allows you to easily request confidential recommendations and to submit applications and other materials to job and fellowship opportunities. We've also made it easy to manage your documents, applications and deliveries.
From the "Deliveries & Applications" section of your Dossier, you can create new deliveries, view, edit and pay for mail, email and electronic deliveries of documents and applications. From the "ByCommittee' tab of Deliveries & Applications, you can view the progress (completeness) and status of applications to ByCommittee positions and tell at a glance what you've already done and what you still need to complete.
This article explains how to access, manage, edit and delete the deliveries and applications in your Dossier account.
You will see one of the following screens depending on whether or not you have previously created applications or deliveries
If you have not yet created an application or delivery, you will see this screen:
If you have not yet created a delivery or applied to a ByCommittee positon, you will see a button to create a new delivery along with information about what you can do with Dossier and links to help articles that will get you started.
If you have previously created a mail or email delivery, you will see this screen:
If you have used Dossier to send application and materials to a non-ByCommittee opportunity and have not yet applied to a ByCommittee positon, you will see your deliveries listed on the "Mail, Email & External Applications" tab.
Managing ByCommittee applications
If you have ByCommittee applications started but not yet submitted, you will see a section titled "Not Yet Submitted"
Applications you have not yet submitted appear in a table listing the application name, and a due date for the application.
Click to edit and submit, or delete applications you have not yet submitted
Note: Unsubmitted applications with a due date in the past may appear as "Expired."
Clicking "Edit & Submit" opens the Review & Confirmation screen of the ByCommittee application
Here you will see an overview of the application and can access and edit the application. The current status of the application is listed here, indicating if the application can be edited, has been submitted, withdrawn, reactivated, and the close date. You can quickly view your progress on each application section and what remains to be done to complete the application
Submitted ByCommittee applications will appear in their own section
You can sort the list of submitted applications by date (default), status or destination.
Applications you can edit will appear with a check mark and a status bar indicates if the application is complete or incomplete
You can edit, withdraw or review submitted applications
Other applications and deliveries appear listed on the "Mail, Email & External Applications" tab
From here you can edit, delete, review, and pay for mail, email and external (non-ByCommittee) applications.
Note: The ByCommittee tab will ONLY display if you have applied to one or more ByCommittee positions.
Previously completed mail, email and other deliveries will appear in your account "History"
You can view the status and ship date and review completed deliveries.
Note: You also have the option to cancel deliveries that are still waiting for processing.
