Do I have to create an account?

Letter writers often ask us why they should create an Interfolio writer account in order to submit a letter of recommendation. Here are some of the benefits of creating an account:

  • Fast, secure electronic upload capability. In order to add a letter to the Interfolio system by electronic upload, you will need to create an Interfolio account. Electronically uploading a letter is the fastest method to get your letter into a member’s account. When deadlines are tight, our members certainly appreciate an electronic submission!
  • Access to letters written in the past - providing an easy way to update old letters and upload newer versions.
  • Easy management of inbound letter writing requests. No need to keep track of emails or lists of people you need to write letters for. It will all be stored in your Interfolio account as a “pending request” or “completed letter.”

Requiring letter writers to create an account when uploading electronically helps us verify their identity and validate the authenticity of the letter.

Can I submit my letter without an account?

Yes - if you prefer not to create a free account, you can mail your letter to the office.
