Why archive an applicant? What does that do?

Archiving an applicant is an additional organizational tool for you to use.  You might want to archive an applicant after you download and print their documents.  You might want to archive an applicant if you find out that that applicant has withdrawn his application.

The most important thing to note about archived applicants is that they won’t show up by default in the Applicant List.  By default, only active applicants will appear.  To see archived materials, you’ll need to make the appropriate edits by clicking Filter the List. You’ll have options to view only active letters, only archived letters, or all letters.
