Using Interfolio to send your letters of recommendation to AMCAS is easy.

1. Request letters from your writers on the Manage Documents page.  Letters can be submitted to Interfolio on paper or by electronic upload.
2. Add your AAMC Id to your account in your ACCOUNT SETTINGS.
3. When you are read to send your letters to AMCAS, start a delivery by selecting AMCAS as the receiving destination.
4. Add the letters that you wish to send.
5. Add your AAMC ID in Step 3 of the delivery process.
6. When prompted, enter the AMCAS Letter IDs that were provided to you on the AMCAS site for each of your letters.

Helpful Hints:

• Make sure to enter the exact AMCAS Letter ID for each letter.  If the letter IDs or the AAMC IDs do not match exatly to what AMCAS has in their system, your delivery will not be processed.
• If your IDs are entered incorrectly, you will get an email from Interfolio letting you know that your delivery needs to be resent with the proper IDs.
• Medical schools may require your letters to be on official letterhead and include the author's signature.
• A letter Id is unique to the application year for which the
  application was submitted to AMCAS.
  So they can't re-use letter IDs.  They need to create a
  new one for each application cycle.
